PHILADELPHIA -- A police officer uses a baton to strike protesters as he drives down 18th Ave. at the Vine St. Expressway on 8/1/2000. He was soon pulled from his car and then engaged in a fistfight with protesters, before pulling his gun. This incident sparked a rash of wild melees in Center City Philadelphia.
